Thanksgiving Day:
Thanksgiving Day is a holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Thanksgiving is celebrated each year on the second Monday of October inCanada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving in Canada falls on the same day as Columbus Day in the United States. Because of the longstanding traditions of the holiday, the celebration often extends to the weekend that falls closest to the day it is celebrated.
Thanksgiving in North America had originated from a mix of European and Native traditions. Typically in Europe, festivals were held before and after the harvest cycles to give thanks for a good harvest, and to rejoice together after much hard work with the rest of the community. At the time, Native Americans had also celebrated the end of a harvest season. When Europeans first arrived to the Americas, they brought with them their own harvest festival traditions from Europe, celebrating their safe voyage, peace and good harvest. Though the origins of the holiday in both Canada and the United States are similar, Americans do not typically celebrate the contributions made in Newfoundland, while Canadians do not celebrate the contributions made in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Thanksgiving & Turkey

How did the turkey become the main mascot of modern-day Thanksgiving if we don’t know for certain that turkeys were at this first feast?

One story tells of how Queen Elizabeth of 16th century England was chowing down on roast goose during a harvest festival. When news was delivered to her that the Spanish Armada had sunk on it way to attack her beloved England, the queen was so pleased that she order a second goose to celebrate the great news. Thus, the goose became the favorite bird at harvest time in England. When the Pilgrims arrived in America from England, roasted turkey replaced roasted goose as the main cuisine because wild turkeys were more abundant and easier to find than geese.

1.Tangled

Backup Tangled with Any DVD Cloner on Hard Drive

It is not by chance that a cartoon is the first on the list  the first concern ever is our children. Tangled is a hilarious comedy for the whole family to enjoy on Thanksgiving. Princess Rapunzel has spent the whole life in a tower and has very little knowledge about the outer world but has very beautiful and very long hair (bet the girls will like it!). As you might have guessed it has got too hackneyed when a prince comes and saves the girl so it is not the case. Rapunzel will fall in love with a bandit, a charming bandit I should say, and will abandon her tower to find him in the huge world she knows nothing about.

2.Dutch

Dutch (released in the UK and Australia as Driving Me Crazy) is a 1991 American comedy-drama film directed by Peter Faiman and written by John Hughes. A rich kid learns about life in the real world when his divorced mom’s beau drives him home for Thanksgiving.

3.The War at Home

A Thanksgiving movie where there is no comic relief. Emilio Estevez portrays a returning Vietnam War hero who can’t adjust to life back home, and the movie’s climatic moment occurs over Thanksgiving dinner as he confronts his father who wouldn’t help him escape the draft. It’s a powerful moment in a powerful movie that will make you thankful that those dark days in our history are over.

4.Tadpole

In this odd, Voltaire-ridden coming of age story, we follow a young man in his quest to sleep with his stepmother. It’s not a perfect film, it’s lacking visually and some of the dialogue falls flat, but it is hilarious when it wants to be and Bebe Neuwirth is awe-inspiring both in her comic timing and sex appeal.

5.The house of Yes

A wealthy young man wants to wed a painfully ordinary girl, and a few hours with his family will convince anyone why he’s doing so in this black comedy. Marty Pascal is engaged to marry Lesly, a dizzy blonde he met when she was working at a doughnut shop, and he bravely decides that it’s time she met his family, so he brings her along for Thanksgiving dinner at his mother’s house in West Virginia.
